WheelieDex is available on iOS and Android. You can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

No. WheelieDex is built offline-first. Your entire collection and the vehicle catalog are stored locally on your device. You can browse, scan, and manage your collection without an internet connection. Data syncs automatically when you reconnect.

You can sign up using your email address, Google account, or Apple ID. You can also browse anonymously with limited functionality — no account required.

Point your phone's camera at the barcode area on a Hot Wheels card or packaging. WheelieDex uses on-device text recognition (OCR) to read the printed SKU code and instantly identifies the vehicle. Once identified, you can add it to your collection with a single tap.

No. All text recognition happens entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. No camera images or video frames are ever uploaded to our servers or any third party. Your privacy is fully protected.

The scanner reads the standard 10-character Hot Wheels SKU codes printed on card backs and packaging (format: AAA11A1A1A). It also identifies the case letter from the extended code.

A few things to try:

• Make sure the SKU code on the packaging is clean and not obscured.
• Hold the camera steady and ensure good lighting — avoid glare on the blister pack.
• Make sure the full code is visible in the camera frame.
• Some older or international releases may use non-standard code formats.

The scanner reads printed text from packaging, so it requires a card back or box with a printed SKU code. Loose cars without packaging cannot be scanned, but you can manually search for and add any car from the Catalog.

When Quick Add is enabled, successfully scanned cars are automatically added to your collection without an extra confirmation step — perfect for rapid scanning sessions when you're sorting through a big haul.

The Garage is your personal collection hub. It's where all your collected diecast vehicles live. You can view your total count, see collection statistics, browse recent catches, and track your inventory.

There are two ways:

• Scan it — Use the Scanner to identify a car from its packaging and tap to add it.
• Manual add — Browse or search the Catalog, find the car, and add it to your collection.

Yes. WheelieDex tracks quantity per SKU. If you own three of the same casting, your inventory will reflect that. You can adjust quantities up or down at any time.

Your Garage dashboard shows:

• Total Cars — Total number of vehicles in your collection.
• Unique Castings — Number of distinct SKUs you own.
• Super Treasure Hunts (STH) — Count of Super Treasure Hunts in your collection.
• Treasure Hunts (TH) — Count of regular Treasure Hunts.
• Store Exclusives — Count of retailer-exclusive releases.
• Scanned — Number of cars added via the scanner.

Yes. Every addition to your collection is logged as a transaction with a timestamp. You can view your Recent Catches to see what you've added and when.

Yes. If you're signed in, your collection data syncs in real-time across all your devices via PowerSync. Add a car on your phone, and it appears on your tablet instantly.

The Catalog is a comprehensive database of diecast vehicles. Browse by release year, series, and category to explore thousands of castings with detailed specifications.

Each car entry includes:

• Release name, series, and series position
• Release year and mainline index number
• Rarity classification (Mainline, Treasure Hunt, Super Treasure Hunt, etc.)
• Designer and art director
• Wheel type, code, and name
• Body color, base color, interior color, and window color
• Base material and casting debut year
• High-resolution product images
• Market pricing data (eBay average, Amazon listing price, price trends)
• Peg Heat Index (community demand indicator)
• Hunt Difficulty rating

The catalog is continuously updated as new releases, series, and market data become available. Updates sync automatically to your device.

Yes. Cars you've collected are marked with a "caught" indicator throughout the Catalog, so you always know what you have and what you still need.

Market pricing data is aggregated from publicly available eBay sold listings and Amazon product listings. We process thousands of real transaction records to calculate averages, trends, and analytics.

Pricing data reflects real completed sales and active listings from eBay and Amazon. While we strive for accuracy, market values fluctuate constantly. All valuations are estimates and should be used for informational and entertainment purposes only — not as financial or investment advice.

For individual cars:

• Average Market Price — Mean sold price from recent eBay transactions.
• Price Trends — 30-day, 90-day, and 1-year price change percentages.
• Demand Score — How actively a casting is being bought and sold.
• Sales Velocity — Speed at which listings are selling.
• Price Volatility — How much the price fluctuates.
• Price Tier — Relative price classification.
• Investment Score — Composite score indicating potential value appreciation.
• Price Momentum — Directional strength of recent price movement.

Portfolio Analytics gives you a bird's-eye view of your entire collection's financial picture:

• Total Estimated Value — Sum of market prices for all cars in your collection.
• Total Cost — What you've invested (if tracked).
• Unrealized Profit/Loss — Difference between value and cost.
• ROI — Return on investment percentage.
• Collection Score — An overall rating of your collection's quality and diversity.
• Top Movers — Cars in your collection gaining or losing the most value.

Movers are cars in your collection that have experienced the largest price changes recently. "Gainers" are increasing in value; "Decliners" are decreasing. This helps you spot trends and make informed decisions about your collection.

No. WheelieDex is a collector's tool. Market valuations, portfolio analytics, investment scores, and price trends are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice. Always do your own research before making purchasing or selling decisions.

Radar is a community-powered feature that shows you which diecast vehicles are being spotted at retail locations. It aggregates anonymized scan data from the WheelieDex community to surface real-time sighting trends.

When WheelieDex users scan cars at stores, the anonymized scan data (which car, when, and how often) contributes to community-wide sighting trends. Radar shows you which castings are appearing most frequently, helping you know what's hitting pegs near you.

No. Radar uses only anonymized, aggregated data. Your individual scan history, identity, and location are never shared publicly. No one can see what you specifically scanned or where.

The Hunt Count shows how many times a particular casting has been scanned by the community overall. A high Hunt Count means a car is widely available or highly sought after.

Tap the upgrade prompt in the app to view available plans. All purchases are securely processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We never see your payment details.

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store:

• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → WheelieDex
• Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → WheelieDex

Cancelling stops future charges. You'll retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

No. Your collection data, scan history, and all other account data are always preserved regardless of subscription status. Cancelling Pro only restricts access to premium features.

Yes. Sign in with the same account and use the "Restore Purchases" option in the app settings. Your Pro entitlement is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, not your device.

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. WheelieDex does not directly process payment refunds.

We collect only what's needed to power the app: your account info (email or social login), collection data, scan history, and device token for push notifications. Camera images are processed on-device and never uploaded. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Yes. You can request complete account deletion by contacting us at support@wheeliedex.com. All your data — profile, collection, scan history, device tokens, and preferences — will be permanently removed from our servers.

Yes. Each notification category can be independently enabled or disabled in the app's settings. You can also revoke notification permissions entirely through your device's system settings.

No. We only send notifications you've opted into, and they are limited to meaningful, actionable events. We do not send marketing or promotional push notifications.
